A factory steering shaft can wear out in as
little as 4,000 miles! Replace it with a
long lasting, heavy duty BORGESON needle
bearing universal shaft assembly.
We developed our first truck replacement
steering shaft in 1989 to solve a common
problem with full size Dodge Pickups and
Ramchargers. They have a steering flex-joint
design that can wear in as little as 4000
miles, depending on how the truck is used.
Any play in the steering causes
nerve-racking wandering on the highway. When
trucks are modified for plowing, towing,
off-road, or simply increasing tire size, a
BORGESON heavy duty shaft should be used.
BORGESON
Universal heavy-duty replacement shafts are
a vast improvement over OEM and can take
anything you throw at them.
We’re so sure
they’ll outlast your truck that we give you
a Five Year Warranty.
What makes
the Borgeson assembly so much better than
stock? It’s the precision,
zero-play, sealed needle bearing U-joint
machined from a solid steel billet. It’s not
a cheap stamping like the OEM. BORGESON
steering shafts telescope for easy
installation and are permanently lubed and
sealed. The telescoping shaft easily handles
misalignment from body-lifts and extreme
off-roading.
Most OEM shafts have a similar
coupler/flex-joint design, so we now have
replacement shafts for Dodge, Chevy/GMC,
Ford and Jeep. Some feature a vibration
reducer to isolate road shock. Installation
is easily done with common hand tools.
The tight feel of the
BORGESON steering shaft assembly will
transform your truck!
We have been making the finest automotive,
aerospace and industrial U-joints available
since 1914. You can find BORGESON universal
joints on the fastest racing machines and
