Recommended Service Life Of The FASS Fuel Filter - The Fuel Filter removes dirt and debris from the fuel system, preventing damage to the fuel pump and fuel injectors. For reliable engine operation and fuel system performance, a clean fuel supply is absolutely essential. The fuel filter is the fuel system's primary line of defense against dirt, debris and small particles of rust that flake off the inside of the fuel tank. If not trapped by the filter, such contaminants can prevent valves from seating. In fuel injected engines, fuel debris can clog the injector inlet screens and starve the injector for fuel. And if debris gets inside the injector, it can wear or jam the pintle valve and seat. With diesel engines, clean fuel is even more important because of the extremely close tolerances inside the injection pump.
The FASS FUEL Filter change intervals (FASS FF-1003, FASS FF-1010, FASS FF-2003) are dependent upon a number of factors. One factor is what type of fuel are you running - Winter Blend Diesel, Bio-Diesel, 100% Vegetable Oil or a mix of these fuels. Do to variations in each load of fuel put in your tank the odds of picking up contaminants such as dirt, suspended particles and water are very prevalent. Have you ever filled up your truck while a fuel tanker is dumping a load into the bulk storage tank? What do you think happens to all of those contaminants in the bulk tank. Yes all of these freshly stirred contaminants are now brought into your fuel system as you fill up. The same is true when filling up and the fuel level is low in the bulk tank. This is when your chances of picking up contaminants are far greater. Of course you never really know what the fuel level is when your filling up, so regular filter changes are a big part of preventative maintenance. Contaminants are caught by the FASS Fuel System Filters. This is another reason why I like to use the FASS 3 Micron Fuel Filters in all of our vehicles - 3 microns offer more protection then the FASS 10 Micron Filter FF-1010 We recommend that the fuel filter be changed when the fuel pressure to the engines fuel pump or injection pump reaches less than about 5 – 7psi or 15,000 to 30,000 miles, which ever comes first. Many professional technicians say yearly fuel filter changes can reduce the risk of dirty fuel-related problems. (NOTE: Your engine may be different for the minimum requirement for fuel pressure. There are many variables that can and will determine that the filter and water separator be serviced/changed at different intervals than what we recommend. If low-quality fuel has been used or if there have been any drivability problems related to a loss of power, the fuel filter should be replaced.
KLM Performance offers FASS 150 and FASS 95 Filter kits. FASS has recently lowered the costs of their replacement filters making their filters a much more competitively priced product.
All of the FASS Replacement Filters are available in Filter Sets or on an individual basis.
Please see the below links for the FASS Fuel Filter Replacement Sets.

Its advisable to always keep a spare set of filters in your truck so fuel problems wont take you out of the running.
