This upgraded installation hardware kit is the stock track bar bolt and locking nut assembly used from the factory on the 2008 to 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 series trucks. Installation of this kit will allow you to properly torque your track bar and help prevent premature wear and tear. Installation of this Track Bar Bolt Upgrade Kit requires you to use a 5/8" drill bit to enlarge the existing mount holes for proper installation. Do not install this bolt kit with Air Tools as breakage of this part will occur. The Torque Specification on this 16MM Bolt is 146 lb-ft. Please do not over-tighten these bolts, as a failure of this part will occur.

The 16mm track bar bolts are an excellent upgrade, but they do require the correct bushings to work properly. The factory track bar on many 2003–2007 Ram 2500/3500 trucks uses 14mm inner sleeves, so the larger 16mm bolts will not pass through the original bushing sleeve.

To use the 16mm hardware, you will need bushings that include a 16mm inner metal sleeve, or a track bar that is already designed for 16mm bolts. Some aftermarket bars come pre‑sleeved for the larger hardware, but the OEM bar does not have the required 16MM sleeve..

Using the correct sleeve size is important — it prevents steering play, premature bushing wear, and the potential for track bar movement that can lead to handling issues.
