ICON 62530 2.5" Alignment Cam Kit Installation Instructions
1. Lift the front end of the truck and support the frame at the front frame rails with jack stands. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE. Remove front wheels.
2. Remove the driver side stock alignment cam: Remove the cotter pin from the ball joint castle nut. Remove the castle nut from the
upper ball joint using a 24mm. With a brass hammer, strike the ball joint stud to dislodge the taper. Be careful not to damage the
threads. Remove stock alignment cam.
3. Install the new alignment cam: Make sure the arrow is pointing toward the front of the truck and the flat end of the cam is aligned with the flat end of the knuckle. Use the old sleeve to tap the new one down onto the taper. Install the castle nut using a 24mm [Torque to 69 ft-lbs]. Install the new cotter pin.
4. Repeat the previous steps for the passenger side.
5. Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.
6. Have the vehicle professionally aligned: Caster and camber are now set with the alignment cam.

  • FAQ : What is Camber? Camber is the lean of the vehicle’s wheels/tires either towards or away from the vehicle’s chassis. If the wheel of your truck were set up straight up and down, perfectly perpendicular to the ground, this would be known as zero camber. Camber, is measured off this and will be determined by how many degrees off from straight up and down the wheel is leaning. If the top of the wheel is leaning in toward the vehicle this is known as negative camber. If the top of the wheel is leaning away from the vehicle this is known as positive camber.  What is Caster? Caster is the angle in which the front suspension is positioned in reference to the vertical position. Caster is only set on the front suspension of your truck. This angle cannot be seen by the eye but must be measured with the correct alignment equipment.

On most vehicles, this angle is set in a positive manner which assists in steering and vehicle stability at higher speeds. Caster also helps the wheel ‘return to center’ after turning the steering wheel. This angle does not usually affect tire wear.

This kit was recommended to me and I could only find it at KLM. Has it in less than 3 days and seems to be a quality kit.
